I purchased this TENS machine to replace a unit I'd been continuously using for at least four years, I had purchased the original machine in Lidl on the off chance that it might help with the pain of fibromyalgia and was delighted with it so when it came to replacing it I decided to purchase one from a recognisable brand and even to spend over double what I spent previously. On opening the EM41 I was surprised by the similarity between it and the supermarket version, the controls are the same, the settings, the programmes, the sound, the digital display is identical, even the instruction book was almost identical, the unit looks slightly different but is undoubtably manufactured by the same company as the supermarket version. The unit itself works perfectly fine, it does what it's meant to do, is easy to operate and really helps with pain relief for me. The belt clip needs improvement as it falls off the unit very easily, the bleep/alarm is too loud to allow me use the unit at night because it wakes my husband, it takes at least 10 bleeps to turn on and set the machine on the basic programme. I use the machine to assist me sleep but as there is no lock system if I move and tip any of the buttons I have to reset it which is very irritating. To sum up this machine, it does exactly what it's meant to do, it does help with pain relief, is easy to use but needs some improvements, it is not good value for money considering the comparable machine purchased in the German supermarket…
