WHy it works
The SmoothSkin Pure Fit works by using powerful flashes of light to actually kill some hair follicles. Over time, with regular use, more and more of those hair follicles die - leading to permanent hair loss in areas where you want to be bare.
The SmoothSkin Pure Fit takes it one step further to prevent skin damage. It has a UV filter to block harmful rays and 10 intensity settings. The skin sensor checks your placement before each flash to deliver a bespoke treatment. And with 3 modes to choose from, you can go gentle if you have sensitive skin.

Who Can Use SmoothSkin?
The chart shows the skin tones that are suitable for IPL treatment, these are skin tones I to V on the Fitzpatrick Scale. IPL is not suitable for skin tone VI, so you should not use the device on very dark skin tones as this may cause damage to the skin.
IPL is effective on naturally black, brown and darker blonde hair colours, but may not be as effective on red, white, grey or very light blonde hair. White and grey hair does not contain enough melanin to absorb light energy. Red hair contains a different type of melanin which is not responsive to IPL.

How to use:
1. Prep the area by completing a patch test and wax or epilate to ensure the skin is hair-free.
2. After 24 hours, make sure the skin is clean and dry.
3. Use SmoothSkin Pure to steadily glide over the treatment area for even coverage.
4. For best results, we recommend using every week for 12 weeks, with maintenance top-ups every 4 to 8 weeks after that.
Contraindications:
DO NOT try to open SMOOTHSKIN PURE, as this may expose you to dangerous electrical components.
DO NOT use if SMOOTHSKIN PURE is damaged; for example, cracked handset, cable damage (internal wires visible), cracked or broken glass on the handset, etc. This may result in injury.
DO NOT use near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water. If SMOOTHSKIN PURE becomes wet, it should not be used.
DO NOT use if SMOOTHSKIN PURE becomes uncomfortably hot to touch. This may indicate that the unit is damaged.
DO NOT use on areas with semi permanent makeup or tattooed skin. This may cause irritation.
DO NOT use a power supply or other component, other than those provided for use with SMOOTHSKIN PURE. This may damage the unit and cause it to stop working.
DO NOT attempt to activate (flash) SMOOTHSKIN PURE onto any surface other than skin. WARNING no modification of this equipment is allowed.
DO NOT position SMOOTHSKIN PURE so that it is difficult to disconnect from the mains supply.
DO NOT USE if you have had a skin peel treatment on the area you wish to treat. Please wait 30 days after a skin peel before treating with SMOOTHSKIN PURE.Treating tanned skin with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) may result in permanent Hyperpigmentation (Darkening) or Hypopigmentation (lightening) of the treated skin.
DO NOT USE If you have a known sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity) or are taking medication that makes the skin more sensitive and causes photosensitivity, and/or topical retinoids. Always check the instruction leaflet that comes with your medicinal product, to see if photosensitivity is listed as a side effect. Use of SMOOTHSKIN PURE on photosensitive skin could result in skin damage such as swelling or blisters.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE should be kept out of the reach of children under 18 years of age. Children should not use, play with, maintain or clean the device. There are a number of potential risks – exposure to the light output causing burns or eye damage, electrocution, strangulation from the cables.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE should be kept out of reach of pets and pests which could damage the device. Potential risks include reduced function and electrocution.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities. Unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe and proper use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE glass filter is a critical component that will get hot during use.
DO NOT touch the filter during or directly after use. Regularly inspect the filter for damage.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE if the filter is cracked or missing. Ensure that SMOOTHSKIN PURE treatment window is clean and free from debris. Any debris on or around the treatment window during operation may result in temporary skin changes such as redness or swelling.
Hair removal by lasers or intense pulse light sources can cause increased hair growth in some individuals. Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE on any area where you may want hair to grow back.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE device on man's face, jaw, or neck. The hair in a man's beard area is too dense and using SMOOTHSKIN PURE device in these areas may result in skin injury.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not recommended for use on red, grey or blonde hair.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not effective on these hair colours.

I'm very glad I've invested in this device. I suffer from PCOS and would often shave every day to maintain semi smooth skin but usually can't cope with long term skin irritation. I've not completed a full 12 weeks series with my smoothskin pure yet, but I'm already seeing great results. The most notable is how the hair regrowth on my legs, bikini and underarms slowed down, allowing me to shave every few days, which is a welcomed improvement! Hair that is growing back is softer. I'm hoping that with regular use the results will be more prominent and can't wait to finish the full treatment. I used Philips lumea several years back but couldn't stick to it as it took way too long to do full legs, etc. Smoothskin pure is so much faster and you can do your whole body fairly quickly. The only downside is that the lamp gets hotter the longer it's in use so treatment itself becomes more painful forcing me to take a break. I find that letting it cool for a few minutes helps, I sometimes split my treatment into 2 separate sessions. Overall I would highly recommend this device to anyone who hates shaving or/and suffers with unwanted, excessive body hair. The quality of the device seems good and I like that it comes with a 2 year warranty, it's corded with a long cable and you don't have to bother with different attachments.

Its quick and easy to use and have noticed patchy regrowth on my legs/underarms. My daughter and I are both using it and happy with the product thus far, however we arent at the end of the 12 weeks as yet, only half way.

Works great on my dark blonde hair on my legs. I’ve been using it weekly for about four weeks and have noticed a decrease in hair growth. My legs are starting to feel smooth. It can be a little uncomfortable but it’ll be worth it in the end!!!
